Happy Second Birthday, Sweet Ella

It is hard for me to believe that two years ago today in beautiful Arizona, I had my "war" baby. Ella was born EXACTLY nine months from the day that Chad got back from Iraq...he got back on November 26th 2006 and Ella was born on August 26th 2007. She was born, start to finish, in less than 1hr. and 45 min. and I literally only pushed twice. Chad likes to look at her and say, "You were the most determined to be born." Ella is our love baby...she loves to give hugs and kisses and she loves to snuggle. Since Chad has never been away from her, she is very attached to her "Daie" as she calls him. In fact, when she wakes up at night, she calls for him and not for me. This year, Ella has learned to climb stairs, open doors, talk in full sentences, play house, climb up on EVERYTHING, swim (a little), eat in a big girl chair, fall asleep on her own, and be very, very funny. We all dote on her and she knows that she is the "baby" of the family. The other day, Chad was holding her in front of the mirror and he said, "Who is that?" She smiled and pointed at her chest and said, "Baby Ella." Ella loves shoes, lipstick, dresses and dolls...I think that she is going to be our little fashionista. Happy Second Birthday, Sweet Ella!
