This weekend, we participated in a GREAT event here in Belgium...the Make A Wish Fun Run. This event raised funds for children who are suffering with an illness and are granted a wish. What is so neat about this event here in Belgium, is that every NATO nation participates by having a booth. We got to drink beer from Germany, eat Italian pasta, and have Moose Milk from Canada ---which is milk with a ton of booze in it! The kids enjoyed having their faces painted and eating buckets of ice cream.
You can see other events that we participate in at this website: http://www.shapeonline.net/
Bennett also decided that he wanted a piece of earth. So, Chad and Ben headed to the local gardening store and returned with berry plants. I was immediately apprehensive. After about three weeks, there are no berries, but there is some hope...the strawberry plants look like they may produce at least 10 berries. Bennett had hoped to sell some berries to the local produce farmer around the corner from our home, but his money making prospects are looking grim...but, we are still praying! Keep posted for upcoming photos of my children clean and ready for church!!!
